Pound And Dollar

in the sun today it said that the english pound is almost worth twice the amount of the us dollar :o

and by the end of the year it might be worth more ( the pound that is )

Exchange rates are ephemeral things and in themselves don't mean much.

A weak dollar means that imports are expensive and consequently locally produced alternatives are cheaper; conversly exports look more attractive to overseas customers .

On the downside, essential imports are more expensive.

However, it is good time to plan a US holiday, if you can get in ......

Well as the dollar is not worth all that much at the moment, it would be really a relative richness ;)

but think when it started to rise....besides it's only worth less on the international markets...my groceries haven't gone up

I personally would not visit the USA whilst the entry requirements are so Draconian.

This is probably why my TV providor
has cancelled Euronews and BBC
and swapped it for CNN :(

I hope cheaper is better (i doubt it in this case)

Personally I do not mind. I believe your country is doing what it takes to prevent known terrorists from entering your country. I just hope that when my time comes, I&#39;m staring at a young 21yo brunette who finishes work in 5 minutes. I&#39;ll get to see the sites in more ways than one :D
