That is the LAZIEST POST of 2004. Is it that hard to SEARCH? (http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Broadband+Speed+Test)

Its about right just divide by 8 and your good enough ie 1024(1meg) by 8 = 128 etc.

Configure your router to open up ports you are using. Read the manual on how to do this or visit their website for further info.

These pages have a vast amount of information on other ISP's including graphs, and other ISP reviews by customers.

For instance, if you bothered to tell us where you are from, I could have helped you further. UK users click here (http://www.ispreview.co.uk/) to see an example.

You're welcome.

I'd advise checking out ADSL Guide (http://www.adslguide.org.uk/) & ADSL Guide's Compare (http://www.adslguide.org.uk/isps/compare.asp) as well. You can check your ISP among other UK providers.

:o you said gigabits? :o
i thought my connection opting @ 2.2 megs was nice  :P

btw, these links are all fine, but has anyone ran into one that
can tell you up & down stream instead of overall b/w?
ive been to too many online tests, and none ive seen gives you an up/down rating,
just the overall :(

edit - never mind, yahoo is my friend

for anyone curious about their upload,
(for configuring klite, emule, etc,)
try HERE (http://www.pcpitstop.com/internet/BandwidthUp.asp)
you have to install an active x control, but its safe :)
well, virus free at least, dont know what spybot will have to say about it

edit - sptbot has assured me that this active x is just fine :P
