The bomb landed in a "sparsely-populated area" near the town of Market Weighton in Yorkshire, the spokesman added

It appears the the US government is sending an unequivical message to board member "Sparsely"

Missed me by 50 miles. :P

Or maybe they were trying for TheDave. Only missed him by about 30 miles.

I've had nearer misses than that though. About 30 years ago I lived a bit further north, and the area was used for low-level flight training. An "empty" wing tank was inadvertently released about a mile from my house, it made a hell of a mess.

Come to think of it, that was a USAF plane too. :fear:

this had nothing to do with any of my anti-u.s.a. posts, but it does question the ability of the pilot...

ok, so hobbes points out that the 'bomb' was dropped in a sparsely populated area, but it could just as easily have been a more populous area ;)

yes i agree it could have been a tradgic accident and that would have been no laughing matter, however the post was and still is supposed to be a little light hearted relief ( hence the topic title ) from all the name calling that has been going on.
the timing of the incident couldn't have been better and looking at hobbes actual comment it was very witty in it's irony, which i think you have to admit is a spectacular accomplishment for a yank

To be fair, the Chinese are unlikely to have an embassy in Yugoslavia by accident.

Spell checkers are of limited value.

Some would say know value.

Introduction
ieSpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell checks text input boxes on a webpage. It should come in particularly handy for users who do a lot of web-based text entry (e.g. web mails, forums, blogs, diaries). Even if your web application already includes spell checking functionality, you might still want to install this utility because it is definitely much faster than a server-side solution. Plus you get to store and use your personal word list across all your applications, instead of maintaining separate ones on each application.

The program installs as a new button in the IE toolbar (as well as a new menu item under "Tools") - after filling in a form, just hit the ieSpell button and it pops up a dialog, similar to the MS Word spell check. ieSpell also works (right-click menu only) on other IE based browsers such as SlimBrowser, CrazyBrowser, MSN, MyIE, etc.

ieSpell is not spyware or adware. Its free for personal use only. All other use requires a commercial license. See Licensing for more information.

If you find ieSpell useful, please express your satisfaction with a donation. Your donations will help to support its future development. Thank you!
