I don't know if anyone in the East has more to look forward to this new year than the New Orleans Hornets. The Hornets have established themselves as one of the top teams in the NBA with Baron Davis playing the best basketball of his career. They're strong defensively up front with P.J. Brown and Jamaal Magloire, and in a month or so Jamal Mashburn should be ready to return from his knee surgery. This team could find itself in the finals in June before it finds itself in the Western Conference due to next season's realignment.
