I got a new conversion van a couple of weeks ago. Today a friend and I were trying to figuare out what a button does. We decided to take some stuff apart to see if we could figuare it out. In the process we decided to remove a small plastic rectangle expecting there to just be a hole on the otherside. Instead we found 3 buttons, I pushed one of them and a whole bunch of lights lit up. It was a hidden cop detector. Rock On!!!!

Why not just press the button in the first place and see what it does?

The first button went to a CB (Is that what they are called?) that was once installed, but wasn't anymore. But the cop detector was discovered while trying to figuare that out.

A "cop detector"?
What does it do, home in on Krispy Kremes?

That's a gatso detector. I think cop detectors are different but I could be wrong.

Do you have speed cameras in the States?

It picks up at least 3 different types of signals. I'm not sure which 3 though, it's either Laser, Ka, K, X, or Road Hazard. I googled some manuals for other detectors and they all said when it started you heard the tones for each type of detection. Mine only has 3 tones I think.

It goes off whenever I drive by stores with automatic doors, that's kind of annoying.

That's a radar detector.
