HEy, i got a voucher for HL2 with my gfx card. If i download steam platinum pack and use that key, will i be able to play regular couterstrike with that key till hl2 comes out? then hl2 will show up in "my games" right?

I got my voucher in my HIS Excalibur Radeon card, do i still activate it off the ATI site or where would I go to get this Premium pack? I alrady have regular 1.6, do i need to download a new file or just register a new account using my key off my voucher?
Also is it possible for me to download the Valve Premier Pack now and then when HL2 comes out order the cd as well?? or will they see that my key has already been activated and ignore me?
