well the obvious thing would be to swing your antivirus into action, how come it didn't catch it while you were downloading, or would that be because.....

I think this would be your problem
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcen...bot.f.worm.html (http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.kwbot.f.worm.html)

thanks alot...yo is this site in another language???

NOTE: %System% is a variable. The worm locates the System folder and copies the files to that location. By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\Winnt\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP).

yo im going dizzy....

ill try my best

always check the manufacturers website before downloading software. if you would have taken a couple minutes to swing by the QuickTime website (http://www.apple.com/quicktime/), you would have noticed that the software is only up to v6.5.0. this could have been your first warning that it wasnt worth downloading. ;)

EDIT: oh yeah......where was your antivirus while you were downloading this? :P

Lol....................7.2

I assume they dont have realtime system protection enabled. Most av suites do but have it off by default because it has to constantly be alert in the background and that can use up resources but I have never really noticed any performance issues whatsoever by having realtime protection enabled. B)

*edit* What no av?

if you want to use kazaa here is a verified hash
http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showt...32&hl=antivirus (http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=84032&hl=antivirus)

there are other versions available if you care to browse the software verified section

Yeah. Okay. Why not go and download another virus while your at it? :P

There no excuse for not having an Anti-Virus, you can do online Virus Scans, free ones (AVG, etc.)

steady on man

if you want to dowload from eMule I can vouch for this version
ed2k://|file|Norton.AntiVirus.2003.Professional.exe|43001704|F335B13D276F2340AF3B2ABFEF59EC9A|/

I can't do a proper quicklink because they only work in the verified section, just paste the link into your browser with, emule running

peace man ;)

Dont worry, you dont have what it takes to get initiated.

Follow the advice you were given without asking why. And next time try not to download shit that doesnt exist. :)

Hey Björn, when you're downloading Norton don't go for "Norton AV 2006", aw fuck dude it was a virus.... OMGLOLOOLROFLLMAO!!!!

It's kinda fucked up that everybody's knockin ya, man, but you gotta be careful.

Screw Norton, Go with AVG. They have a version that's free.
You don't have to buy a license every year. <_<

Check this AVG (http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php)

I've seen that virus before. Its nothing if you have an anti-virus. I don't reccommend you trying to find an anti-virus off a P2P program. Especially when that's what got you into this mess.

THAT is actually supposed to be funny ?

because alot of people seem to b satisfied with the dude who posted it all sucking his dick n everything "oh thank u"..."this is great!"...

The  continues...

So now you're baffled by common politeness ? Mind you , judging by you're attitude the concept hasn't really sunk in .

Clean up your act and be grateful people still VOLUNTEER to share files (well... you know what I mean) and help with technical questions.

Well, it was supposed to, yes.
But if you didn't think it was funny then I didn't succeed in being the epitome of humour.

Nope... Still alive... :)

I dled the NAV 2003 version that AndrewBarker indicated earlier in this thread. I found it on eMule, no pbl, size seems correct, but I can't install it.

The installer launches, "prepares the setup" for 2-3 seconds then says "the installation process had to stop because of an error" What error ? Don't know, it doesn't say...

So :

@Andrew : If it's a working file, what should I do to install it ? Any ideas ?

@ all of you guys ; same questions than above :)

AndrewBarker

sorry you have had problems with this file, I had this installed on my comp for a year without any problems, also I installed it on 3 other machines without problem.

It should install smoothly without any errors or problems

Never mind Mr Barker :),
Maybe there's stgh wrong with my Windows intaller or registry.. Dunno... I'm going to check that....

Anyway, I've Dled AVG 6.0 (the free version) and I'm going with that for the moment. Seems nice, I like it.

See you
