I always use www.xe.com
It uses current stock market figures, and isn't just based on a figure programmed into it at the start.

Maybe because prices are quoted here a lot, but that still isn't a good enough reason, since 90% of the time an American site won't ship to the UK etc, so price conversions are a little pointless in that respect. Internetworld methinks.
its so people, can use there local online store to look for parts, for a set budget, eg if someones budget is £500 and they ask you, and u stay in the us, u need to find out what that is in $

Thats what I said, but its not really gonna be much help is it?
Since a guy with a £500 budget, probably can't get American products shipped over can he?
i know, but it gives him an idea of what he can get, he doesnt have to use the same site, btu can use a uk/us site or whatever

A UK/US price would have UK/US prices.
i mean, say someone from us ask to see what they can get for about $900, which is about £500, and being from the uk, i got to http://www.dabs.com which is a uksite.
i then say what i can get for there cash, then they go to http://www.newegg.com to get the stuff.

The price will probably not be the same at NewEgg.
