i like the asus a7n8x motherboard. It has the onboard stuff which i know you dont want but it has an agp and 5 pci slots which i think is the most you can get so...

or you could look at the gigabyte motherboards which i think are a lot cheaper but same quality and good performers also.

Asus A7N8X Here $88. (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-131-455&depa=0)

AMD 2500XP Here $90. (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=19-103-379&depa=0)

I know you said you didn't want Lan or sound or anything, but I dont know any good motherboards that DON'T include that really, so I just listed the one I have which is very well recommended by this forum :)

AMD is the super cheap power truck way to go...and by the end of the building process, if you stick it through, you will have a couple of skills

Negative.

The reason why I love my mobo is this:
Even though it currently runs/supports a 1800+ (and can run anything below it), it supports even a 3000+.

Oh by the way, my mobo has 6 pci expansion slots, and THAT is the most you can get right now :)

5 is the most ive seen personally so i assumed that was all a motherboard could have because of case size problems or something like that.

edit: what mobo do u have?

I have the Asus A7N8X, and whats so good about it is that I DONT need to use any PCI slots. I have sound and LAN already intergrated into the motherboard. I love it.
