ok im runnin xp and was wonderin if it is possible 2 prevent the pc from shuttin it self off wen u hit shutdown...

see, i have my pc, moniter, printer, etc, pluged into a powerstrip and wen im done using the pc i shutoff the powerstrip, but wen i turn it back on, i also have 2 hit the pc power,
on my other pc, it comes back on automatically becuz wen i hit shutdown it does not turn off, it just says the pc is now rdy 2 b turned off

Right click on My Computer > Properties > Advanced tab > make sure Automatically Restart is checked.

i did that and it didnt change anything

1.) change ur avater, your not a bootlegger <_<

2.) its not good to shut the pc down by a powerstrip, you should aways shut it down from start>shut down

i understand that, and after it shutsdown i flip the switch...

1. go into your computer&#39;s BIOS
2. turn off ACPI,
3. if the option exists, enable the option for the computer to boot up after a power failure.
4. save settings and exit BIOS.
