New Logo Contest

Here we go:

I am sure you already noticed that our new logo is "just text" at the moment. Well it's because there has to be a placeholder :)

The current logo

is a gif image 226 x 100 pixels and contains a transparent area at the bottom.

We want to start a logo contest but there are a few requirements:

Requirements:
- size must be 226 x 100
- the transparent part must be like it is now
- the colors should be the same as they are now
- the little image on the right has to be included
- image size must be under 8 kb

What you can do:
- the slogan can be changed
- the font can be changed (must be readable)
- you can add your own style
- you can use 200 pixels for changes (not 226)
- fonts can be larger / smaller
- additional images are fine (within reason)

Please submit your creations as reply.

Our team will pre select 5 logos and start a poll within 10 days.

so using Xara3D is going to be a bit tricky now if were trying to keep it under 8 kb.. ;)

any other programmes you could use? i mean, ive got an image in my head... but using Xara is impossible...

Ok I guess I have to explain this one:

The logo 's width is 226 but by using 220 there will be a little space between the logo and the banner image which looks better than the sticking next to the banner (without space at all).

Switch to 800 x 600 and you will see that the logo currently sticks next to the banner :)

Animation should be no problem. But it shouldn&#39;t be too busy, that will become annoying very fast.

I wont be entering simply because I know I&#39;m not good enough, but good luck to those who do. I do think there should be some sort of prize to the winner as this will get more people submitting logos using more effort and will end up with a better logo presumably.

I think all of these look great, but I dont understand what is wrong with the one we have now?.. it looks pretty professional and compact. It would look nicer if the forum was narrower again, or if it was a bit wider, but it still looks pretty good.

Of course it&#39;s not the final one because the fonts and colors look like ass, but I&#39;m thinking of using the squares effect in combination with the existing ones.

I know it&#39;s not as the requirements requested but I had a hard time finding out how to resize and make it with a transparent background in Coral draw.
I&#39;m not used to working with coral draw :(
I know i&#39;ve should&#39;ve done it in photoshop...and maybe I will do it over again like it&#39;s suposed to be for the requirements.But i&#39;ld love to get some feedback first on it.I did it rather quick but I do like the result :)
