Isn't that something other programs handle just fine?

Azureus is definitely not for low spec computers B)

2.4 GHz 800Mhz fsb Intel
1.5 gigs of ddr 3200ram mushkin
Geforce 4600 128megs Nvidia
soundblaster live 5.1 gamer edition Creative
48x24x48 CDRW Liteon
16X DVD BenQ
DFI LanParty PRO857 DFI

umm i dont think thats what i would call low specs

I just find that i get better faster more stable downloads from abc and shadows than azrus. I could almost never get it to go above 50KBs with azrus, while i regularly get it to 200 with abc or shadows.

And so faf outta ALL the clients that i have tested ABC is the least system intensive from what i have seen anyways, and azrus if the most system intensive from what i have seen.

i didnt like azrus using 120,000k mem according to win taskmanager though i will admit it dose have some features that other clients lack i wont be making the jump to azrus anytime soon

I'm still baffled by these problems with Azureus' resource use.

I have lower specs than you dragon_son, but Azureus goes nowhere near that CPU/Mem usage your saying.
It's currently at 2,800 K mem usage and peaking 3% CPU usage and I'm currently downloading/seeding 5 torrents...

Have you installed the correct Java runtime environment?

Mine uses about 20,000k.
