Child Porn

I just found out that there are tons of kiddie porn on Kazaa. Check out searches on preteen. I personally am more than offended by incensed. This can be a terrible weapon against Kazaa and its like. "Kazaa spreads child porn." And it is really bad. People may not get upset about copyright infringement, but kiddiepornis beyond the pale. Is there anything that can be done? What do you think?

Cheers man, this is a problem we can solve, at least on k-lite I think.

It does suck, but eventually there will be a solution. You could always turn your filter on to prevent this pron stuff showing up.

The problem is not filtering it out.

The problem is that so much of it is available on the network we use.

Turning a blind eye will cure nothing.

Well some of us have kids and that's how we found out about this.

Searching for regular files and seeing the crap that pops up. For me it was South Park and these files popped up with some disturbing titles, and thus the Sicko's I and II threads, origianlly started by Leech Killer (I think he was searching Disney when he found that stuff).

Also, screw the rest of the internet, it's filled with morons. All that concerns me is what I can change, and that can be done though k-lite, though I am not above knocking some site about that shit offline.

We can almost certainly do something about this. The police forces don't have the man power to monitor everything, but with just a small percentage of Kazaa users fighting back we can make a difference. Looking on Kazaa right now there's 3,337,280 users if only 0.5% are fighting back thats still 16600 people who are prepared to do something constructive. Whether you fight back for 10 minutes of your day or spend your whole day doing it, just fight for those innocent children that are unable to. If I can get just one sicko locked up it'd be worth it.

An hour ago I contacted AT&T Broadband Northeast, this had been brought about after the member had started downloading a music file from me. I did a search of their hard drive and found that 95% of the files there were child porn. I started downloading a Friends episode from him, used Datview to get his IP address, took a screen shot of both the Datview window showing his connection information and the Kazaa window showing his illegal collection. I tried sending him a message but he had messages turned off, so I thought ok that's fine then emailed his ISP with all of the information I'd gathered about him. He doesn't what to recieve messages from people like me telling him what a sick w***er he is, thats fine, the police breaking down his door can tell him that.

This is what I wrote:-

Current time 10.05 am GMT

To whom it may concern,

Dear Sir/Madam

I am currently using Kazaa. A Kazaa member has just connected to me and after doing a search on their hard drive I have found evidence of child pornography. Attached are two jpeg files one showing the contents of their hard drive and the other showing their IP address. Their IP address I believe originates from your netrange. I would ask if you would be able to deal with this as this type of material is sickening.

Mr ******

Half an hour later this is what I got back from them:-

We make every effort to investigate all reports of abusive activity in a timely manner. The information that you have provided will be used to investigate the incident for violations of our Acceptable Usage Policy and Subscriber Agreement, which you can view at:
http://help.broadband.att.com/security

Granted this is more than likely an automatic reply, but they have all the information to do something about it. According to their Terms And Conditions if they are able to verify my claims they will prosecute the person to the full extent of the law.

So we can make a difference.
