Need Anime

ive watched animes like 3x3 eyes,genocyber,akira,ninja scroll,hellsing,vampire hunter D ...
but i cant find many movies like the first 3 that i named ..i like loong intricate plots and storylines sorta like stuff that you notice in games like xenogears/saga,ff7
and oh i never get hooked onto anime series eg:cowboy bebop etc
can any1 sujjest animes that i might like???

Ghost in the Shell. I belive it is somewhat similar to Akira, but i havent watched it so i dont know, but from what i've read its a good film anyway.
