Recently I was asked to build a PC for my sister.
She had fairly specific requests as to hardware, but many details were left to my discretion.
The case was one such item and I decided to use the Elements model 788bwx, mainly because of it's excellent price and my previous experience with it. One of it's bretheren was Sprocket's first ( and now, current) home.
Nothing special, looks-wise, but we are conservative folk and it fit our needs.

To my surprise, when I opened the box I discovered that there had been a design change since my last purchase and the new version has a redesigned sidepanel that features a three color LED fan in the center.

This would not do...my sister is one step from being Amish and this fan was simply beyond the pale.
Not only that, the fan was superflous to the cooling solution I had designed for her PC.

So I did the gentlemanly thing and exchanged her panel for Sprocket's fanless and more conservative one.

So...despite endless promises never to succumb...I must confess that my PC- Sprocket...now sports a bit of bling.
I find it strangely alluring, even though it still strikes me as uselessly gaudy.

Sprocket is enjoying her new role as painted whore of Babylon...

I thought you'd like to know, Abu.

No Abu, I just installed the new panel with the fan.
It is there as I type.

The picture is intentionally fuzzy.
Just because Sprocket wants to flaunt her brazen hussiness across the internet, I still have my standards.

Next, she will want to go out on dates and pierce her ears.

Oh my.

Is it true that a WU completed by a Canadian computer only gets 80% credit?

I hope to get a whole bunch more CPUs going but I won't be able to show the WUs for all the others on the KLF team list.

I see you have a lot of work done and at other teams also. Good for you man! http://www.mcbriens.net/liam/img/smilies/thmbup.gif

Not my PCs.

I will try to convince as many 'clients' to run the app as I can. To get them to join our team is another story.

clocker, you probably could have had some real reaction if
you had fibbed about sprocket's looks and used one of the pictures
of cases from this site...http://xoxide.com/modifiedcases.html
either the big cube or the plane...then abu would post anew for a whole new project
just so sprocket would talk to him.

There is no need to fib about Sprocket's looks.

Her pubescent ripeness is obvious to the discerning.

Believe me, if I could get my hands on a Lian-Li case, you'd know about it.

Well sometimes it takes a while to establish communication. All you needed to do is wait for it. Sometimes just restarting the program helps.

Too bad you got discouraged. I hope you try it again sometime.

Ah thats a shame, Sproket had a workman like, "I mean buisness" sort of feel to it. Now she's succumbed to the temptation of lights, there's no stopping her. You'll be buying a UV reactive acrilyic case next to satisfy her new-found rampant desires. :P

She's been grounded.
No more Britney videos for her.
