Are there any sites where u can get installation software for hardware? I need the installation disk for an HP ScanJet 3400C. HP charge for this and i was wondering if there is some place to get it free?

you will find any driver for anything here at driver guide

http://www.driverguide.com/

log in as

username is drivers

password is all

then search manufacturer and model number and then look for your windows version

this is by far the best driver web page available

Thanks but the HP site download doesn't work (Windows ME) and driverguide.com doesn't have the software for the right model. Any other ideas?

lol yes it does there are 27 3400c drivers there from xp to 98 take your choice and a few of them are multi windows format, just look a bit harder
