Agp Rate Keeps Changing

hey :unsure:

im a lil stuck, i used to get 8 x agp speeds, but now all i get is 4 x agp.

this has affected gaming and other things.

what should i do? i just uninstalled that catalyst driver that people just recently brought up, because i noticed that it changed my agp to 0

now i got the CD drivers installed but its only on 4.

why? and how can i change this..

right-click the desktop -> settings -> advanced -> smartgart -> retest all

this would be a setting in the bios, i think under advanced chipset settings...

That's what I told him via MSN Messenger last night, but as far as I know, he hasn't found it yet

the only thing i can change in advanced chipset setting in the BIOS is the FSB.

there is NO setting relating to AGP except an option that lets me change the percentage of sumthing ..... sorry im not to sure what it is.... but its gives me the choice of 10% 20%..... 80% etc

AGP has to be in there somewhere.

i downloaded and read your manual, says its under advanced bios and the setting is called flexible agp, change it to auto if it isnt already.

you have the same motherboard VB.... does yours have this option because mine doesnt....




anyway heres my BIOS below

Advanced Bios options

SCSI/RAID
1st Boot device

Advanced Chipset options

System performance normal
FSB frequency 200Mhz
these options i cannot change....
-x memory frequency <span style='color:green'>by SPD
resulting memory frequency</span> 400mhz
AGP Frequency Normal( although this can be changed from 50Mhz to 100 Mhz)

thanks, but that didnt do anything....

however it was set on 64mb.... so i stuck it on 128mb,.. but no luck. nothing...

i think its a driver thing.... or maybe it has something to do with my overclock?

Set all your clock frequencies (cpu and graphics card) to default and see what happens then. If it&#39;s ok, try overclocking them ONE AT A TIME until it fails, then you know which one is causing you the problem. But don&#39;t just give it a couple of minutes test and think that&#39;s ok, it may take you a couple of days testing to find the problem.
