Silent Hill 3

Hey guys, i got an original version of Silent Hill 3 (on Pc DVD B) ) and when i try run it, i get this error

"This game requires a video card with a minimum of 32MB VRAM and programmable Vertex/Pixel Shader support. This application will now close"

Is their a patch i can get to play this game ??

I have a Geforce4mx440. (yes i know its old)

i doubt there is such a patch

i know how u feel, it&#39;s annoying to get a game u like from ur favorite store only to find out it won&#39;t run on ur comp

all the money wasted without ever having the chance to see it how it looks and feels

Actually, there is a patch, my brothers who is a fanatic of this series and also has shittie MX440 beated the game this way, now i dont remeber how is that patch called, i will wait for him to connect to MSN and as soon i ask him, i will tell you how.....

I have been searchin google and i found a program that emulates things your card cannot do.

Its called 3d analyse.

Their is ALOT of options for it but im not sure what ones to select.

I managed to get the game to start with it but i just get garbage and stupid colors lol.

When your bro comes on line ask him what the program is called and if its the one i mentioned above, could you please please please ask him to take a screen shot of how he has set the options up ??

I had a feeling installing older drivers will work (still need 3d analyse but it works now :) ) I just avoided using older drivers.

I done a benchmark with 3dmark2003 using the new and old drivers and these are the results.

53.03 drivers got me 3700 marks

41.09 drivers got me 4166 marks (would have got more but forgot to turn of antivirus)

So, for older cards just use the 41.09&#39;s i suppose since they get me more marks and allow me to play SH3 :)

So this program emulates things a graphics card can&#39;t, I have the Geforce 4 MMX 440 128mb edition and it doesnt support pixal shading 2.0 so i can&#39;t play prince of persia 2 sadns of time,. will this program emulate that so i could?

yeah it might

Just use older drivers because with the latest ones, it was booting up but things were missing.

After installing the old drivers, have a look at Cygnuz&#39;s screenshot and it should run it.

Im trying to get some cool effects going in need for speed underground what the geforce4 cannot do :)

Prince Of Persia works now for me too with 3-D Analyze but I found out that the game sux.I don&#39;t like it, but 3-D Analyze is a great progy B)
