i have a couple of questions about this game:
1. do i have to pay for play it.
2. is there a crack or something to play online or do i need a cd key.
3. do you think is worthy this game because it is a big game to download.

yes u have to pay
u need 4 cdkeys and cc number prompt at installation

ffx-2 is the first true sequel in the final fantasy series, its x-2 not 12..
ffx wasn't thaat good.. it was a bit too easy, my favorite in the ff series is 7 or 8

I was tempted to get FF11, until a friend of mine did, it was a friggin joke.

I watched him shell out the money for the game.

I was there when he got home and realized he needed to buy a damn modem to even start it up. I had totally forgotten about that.

I drove him back to the store and watched him shell out another wad of cash for the modem.

Drove us back and helped him figure out how to hook up the modem up to the PS2.

And sat there and watched his veins pop out of his head when he was prompted to pull out a credit card (which he doesn't have) in order to even get past the menu screens. Luckily I had one so I let him use my card number, he paid me back and as an added bonus told me he would even let me play it with my own character. That was until he found out you had to pay even more money to have extra characters.

It was the biggest waste of money I've ever seen, and it's almost made me Squares mortal enemy for life, it's just not worth it. unless your rich then its worth it. :D

Haha. Don't blame the game when you get your ass handed to you for not doing any damn research. How could anyone be that ignorant?

Oooo... an extra $1 a month. You pay more in interest on your credit card. ;)

Like I said I had forgotten about it, it might also have something to do with the fact that I didn't give two shits about FF11, and I wasn't blaming the game I'm blaming the cost.

Lets add it up. The network adapter was around 30$ I think, the HDD was around 99$ He also wanted a keyboard which he got for around 20 bucks, and an FF11 account was 12.95 and your bitching at me over 1 dollar? Sorry, they bilked us enough for one game. I understand that it costs money to maintain an online game like FF11 but it went a little too far.

he's right probably the game rules but the price that we have to pay for having fun is to much.

How else you gonna play online w/o a N/A
I would buy it just for the hdd so i could get add-ons for other games (like Socom 2) and for saving my others games. But then again you could just get a normal hdd that fits into the network adapter and get the utility thats been floating arond the net to format it.

That's fine. Then it's your friend who's the moron. What part of Final Fantasy XI: ONLINE did he not understand? Nevermind. I already know the answer...

Id have to say FF-2 was teh most disappointing game Ive ever played of teh final fantasy's didn't have me hooked at all the idea of going anywhere you want with no dam plot line!! and having 3 characters woman in short shorts!!

I loved FFX FF7 still my favorite storyline FF* yeah ok had its problems and ff9 I thought was under rated just that the characters sucked
