Hello,

Before i got my DVD burner i would burn my movies onto cd-r's using KVCD. I've recently heard that there is a format for DVD's called KDVD. Now i went to kvcd.net and was able to find much beginner information on the subject. What i want to know is:

Can i copy whole dvd's and retain 100% quality?
Can i keep the menus/special features?
How do copy my dvd's using KDVD?
Can i use ACP but just change the settings???

Any information would be a great help.

Thanks

Check the guide topic ;)

Mostly no because a DVD is normally more then 4,7 GB and you can burn only 4,7 GB dvds

as soon as your gonna start compressing data with more than just a simple zipping program, your ALWAYS gonna lose data.......... and thus quality.........

yes  and ~10+ Hours Great Quality and DVD compliant
~6 Hour
you can't argue something you were never good at making adster <_<
most people are lucky to get a 2 hour movie and dvd complaint quality, kdvd gives you 6 hours, and if you want to give up alittle quality (svcd quality) go with the 10 hour template
if I had a dvdrw I would be promoting kdv - Are

You are right I know

teh picture is good I'm talking about in terms of smoothness it does depends if its been encoding from mpeg to avi to KVCD however

I agree you are right about teh quality is shit on monitor and people don't understand why mpegs KVCDs are crap on the PC so they stick to their avis

as I said I'm not knocking teh KVCD format I'm saying I don't like KVCD coz it won't play on my DVD player :P

BTW in relation to this topic I real don't see teh point of KDVD i can fit 5 hrs of Mpeg on a DVDr anyway  surely no movie goes more then 4 hrs
