I think Project64 is supposed to be the best N64 emu, but I've never heard of 1964 so I could be wrong. None of them work very well on my old 550Mhz P3. :(

A good comp is need .. and any decent emulator will easily play n64 roms straight by going to file>open and selecting it. Even if the rom itself is in a zip in most cases.

Get yourself project 64 :)
(and whats stopping zelda from working?)

and downloaded a bunch of roms and Project 64 kept stuttering while with 1964, the emulation was smooth.

I love having an N64 emulator. I think I'll have to buy a N64 controller adaptor. That would be great for car trips, with the emulator on and ROMs on the laptop and an N64 controller. I don't have room or AV jacks for the N64 in my room, so I just use an emulator on my PC. I wish I could find a good ROM site with no voting or porn popups/banners so I could get all my favorite games I own (particularly Perfect Dark and The World is Not Enough).

PJ 64 is the best n64 emulator.

Have you tried eMule?

No actually, I don't even have eMule installed. Do you have to share with eMule? If so, I guess I could put the tracks I ripped off Smashing...Live! (an album given to Nintendo Power subscribers). I usually don't share stuff, because the last thing I need is the RIAA at my door... I really hope I can find TWINE on eMule... I'l give it a try.
