i have sattelite internet and the modem that they gave me acts as a computer in front of my and it does not allow port forwarding bit torrent doesnt work because of this im fairly certain does anyone else have any idea what i am talking about and are maybe able to help

ok here is some more information i have a dw6000 modem thats the one they give you. there are 2 netgear switches in between me and the modem that might be the problem im not sure uhh thats all i can think of if you need to know somethin specific lemme know

Wh1te, I too am a direcway user, but I use the older DW4000 modem. Never used the DW6000. But bittorrent does work on my system. The only problem is I cant get any remote connections (green light) because Direcway uses a proxy sever. But in a large sworm, thats not much of a problem. I would wonder about your netgear switches, is it possible to take those out of the loop and connect directly to you modem?

there are several computers on the network to remove the switches would remove everyone else i will try and find a time to test that out thx for the idea ill get back to you on that
