Wat Is The Recommended Settings...

Im having broadband 512k download/256k upload....

Im using torrentstorm...Currently Im setting 16kbps as my upload...

My max download speed is only 30kbps-40kbps on a good day...

Am i missing something...as in my current download speed can be higher...

I just dun get it...shouldn't i be getting like 512k/- download as per advertised by my isp....this is like daylight robbery!!!

your max downloadl is only about 64KB.
512 divided by 8.

The method of measurement that your isp uses and BT uses is not the same. The proper conversion is to divide by eight.

considering your connection your speeds seem resonable.

You can only download, as fast as the computers that are uploading to you can upload. I.E. If a computer your connected to can upload to you at 12 k. You wont get it at 512 k. Put your upload at 24 or 25 with a upload rate of 512...
