instead hide and not answer simple questions. yes just lock his topic without a explanation so that Ad wil get pissed and Ad will start a new topic. that way a exuse to ban him or moderate him will be there. adn btw I asked a question about a website and the forum not about the fucking banning of celery and you still locked it


maybe some of the problem would be stopped form members posting questions ikf the mods admin cleared things up in the first place

If You cannot follow the simple rules then find another place, I find the rules very easy to follow, some members have forced us to add more rules. For example the advertising rule in signatures.
The rest of the rules is common sence, You dont have to agree with them but You&#39;ve to respect the rules, if not You&#39;ll face the consequences.

It is true. This place has changed over time. Back when the original Mods were running the place and there were just a few active members, this place was addictive. It was like a tight family, everyone didn&#39;t need to be reminded of the rules, we all knew that respecting each was common sense. This was a fun place&#33;

What made this board great was that things were generally relaxed, there were rules but they weren&#39;t as vigoursly enforced as they are now. More and more this place seems to be moving towards the harsh rules of somewhere like Suprnova forums...

If the board was working fine six months ago when rules weren&#39;t as vigoursly enforced (and there were less mods) what has changed now. You can&#39;t blame people for thinking there is a hidden agenda at work here when things seem to be getting unpleasant.

It&#39;s going to be a shame to see this place go, it really will.

But as you say there are lots of other places out there for us when this board closes. It&#39;s a shame that you would rather tell people to leave than try to find an all round acceptable solution to the problems.

Come on folks, this is like the 6th generation of this type of thread.

Post within the rules, and use PM&#39;s to discuss problems with Mods. Speak to them politely so they respond to the problem, not to an attack. Many of these Mods are young kids and react as such.

I get pissed of here sometimes as well, but that will happen from time to time, as in any relationship. Maybe it was someone having a bad day, a misunderstanding, or a simple error and it built into an argument. These things happen, drop it and move on.

Why do people forget that the old days weren&#39;t so golden? When is the last time the board has crashed&#33; The board has been operating flawlessly for months and months, and we take it for granted&#33;

Remember the temporary board, remember the board crashing routinely, remember it being down for a week at a time.

I have always agreed that the Mods should take a minimalistic approach because they are not my on-line Mother. They are here to handle board problems, block people attempting to spam the board with links to their sites and ban flamers and trolls. Anything over that line reeks of censorship and power hungry children.

The board is free, the board rules are easy, let&#39;s have some fun.

It was not meant to make the Mods look good or bad.

Really, bans and moderation come when people attack mods either on the board or in PM&#39;s. Some people lack the mental discipline or self esteem to be polite and diplomatic about a situation that upsets them. Alcohol also plays a role ;)

Trust me I have had some rather heated exchanges with mods about thread closure and censorship, but I kept myself under a modicum of self-control and the results were satisfactory.

I do agree that there is too much board interference from the Mods, please let us play.

As to people getting on better in the past, that is an illusion created by time. As I stated before people were posting that same sentiment 3, 6, 9, 12 months ago. For some reason the past is viewed with rose colored glasses. Nothing really has changed that much.

I may have liked specific threads and some individual posters, but my point was that nothing has really changed, big picture.

People were fighting just as much back then as now, I was there. People keep thinking that somehow the past was all smileys and huggles, and that is not true.

There is nothing now that can prevent you from posting as you did a year ago (except anti-spam). Even before that, I hear of a guy called "superjude" who was quite the ass. Let us not forget octopussy and hypoluxa and all the other flamers.

I think for some the forum is something they lose interest in, and lulls occur as we wait for new players to fill this void.

I think it is important that the mods keep people coming to the site to replace our fallen ranks.

Theres only a few people who know the real reasons behind what i did...

It was great to read this thread and see who my true friends were...

I also want to say that i dont want to be free&#39;d anymore...but im still fully behind haxor&#39;s free&#39;ing....

So mods dont worry about me...just get my post count and 5 stars back and we shall leave it at that...

There will always be opinions on whether i deserved it or not...but going onto other forums and digging up shit, people who dont even know me slagging me off and a few other things have shown a lot about some people...

But yeah i thought it was fitting to say this in Ad&#39;s thread and not in some formal thing in the everything about the forum part of this forum...

Im not gonna appologise for anything i&#39;ve ever said on this board...i&#39;ve said what i&#39;ve said for a reason and that goes for everything i&#39;ve said in the past year...

I&#39;ll will read the board every now and again...but i wont post...i will stay in slsk...So mods can moderate this username cause i wont be needing to post...or they could moderate celerystalksme for the rest of the time until this board ends...The call is up to them...and im happy for whatever they decide...

I&#39;ll miss the people on the forum...but thats what ya get for what i did...i dont regret it one bit...i told the admin what i thought of them...I bet no one saw the post before the post i got banned...when error made fun of me which sparked what i said...

But yeah i thought it was fitting to say this in Ad&#39;s thread and not in some formal thing in the everything about the forum part of this forum...

Im not gonna appologise for anything i&#39;ve ever said on this board...i&#39;ve said what i&#39;ve said for a reason and that goes for everything i&#39;ve said in the past year...

I&#39;ll will read the board every now and again...but i wont post...i will stay in slsk...So mods can moderate this username cause i wont be needing to post...or they could moderate celerystalksme for the rest of the time until this board ends...The call is up to them...and im happy for whatever they decide...

I&#39;ll miss the people on the forum...but thats what ya get for what i did...i dont regret it one bit...i told the admin what i thought of them...I bet no one saw the post before the post i got banned...when error made fun of me which sparked what i said...

And of course im gonna run my mouth off at anyone who has a go at me...its the Australian way...But in the end we will see who&#39;s more important on the board...the members, the mods or the admins...and i cant wait to see it...

These forums are all a big overlap of the same people.

So he talks his shit about me digging stuff up, I put the record straight.

And as to the other issue, I am fully in support of him getting placed on moderation, rather than a ban.

Anything can be abused, even in our own forum with all these multiple accounts. It just takes a little synthesis of post style and context to figure things out. How long does it take to tell that Jpol is trying a new character. Anyway, in this case, I have known this link for a long time.

Had I been wrong in my assumption, I would have apologised to Celery, but he has done nothing but confirm my assertions. Remember, I already apologised to Ad earlier in this thread, so that is not a big deal.

And we don&#39;t want fights or comparisons between us, this board is not R & C&#39;s, and we&#39;re not KL.
