Do you want a synopsis?

A 16-year-old boy goes to great measures to keep the U.S. government from conducting atomic bomb testing on his island home. Based on the true story of atomic weapons testing at Bikini Atoll in the western Pacific Ocean.

It's been awhile since I've read that book. Anything more specific I don't think I can give you. :(
