http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/osa/mathei/mathe.../gr8bk2math.pdf (http://www.emsc.nysed.gov/osa/mathei/matheiarch/gr8bk2math.pdf) id like to know how to do # 31. Do you just visually divide the mountain up?? It doesnt say use a ruler, so measurment is out of the question. Strings are not allowed. The only way I can think of doing it is by dividing the mountain up into segments and multiplying it by 4, excluding the first bold segment.

By skimming through the test, it doesn't look like you have a lot to worry about. How old are you? Is this test important?

I'd also say 32. The thing to remember is the question asked you to estimate, not be precise. When the examiner comes to mark papers he/she will have the answers, and for Q31 it'll have something like - "Accept sudents answers if within 28 to 36. It seems pretty simple though, even for someone at your age. Don't sweat it ;) Good luck as well

I'm well aware that New York City is the center of the universe, but I think it speaks volumes about an education system that touts a "Statewide/City" test.
