I'm having an huge problem. I downloaded something(can't remember what) and with that came a trojan horse with a downloader in it. It displayed all kinds of porn(don't ask for details). I've managed too get rid of the file that was infected, cookies, history, and scanned the computer for virusses with AVG control center. But still when i restart my computer it displays the porn in a screensaver way but always in front, if i push control-alt-delete a couple of time its gone and i can shut down the file, then my desktop wallpaper is changed, i still can't acces my desktop wallpaper and it changes the names of the drives.

Does anyone know how too get rid of such a slimy well hidden trojan horse? Perhaps a good scanner or trojan horse eliminator (forget about Norton or AVG)

If you have a trojan horse or had one just like mine pehaps you can tell how you got rid of it or ask what too do.

Thanks a whole bunch.

try spybot S&D, adaware too.. then do a full scan of your pc with an anti virus program, and do a reg clean-out with a program like RegSupreme :)

Goes to show why you should always do a virus check of all files you dl. Not only for your own protection, but also so you're not passing these files on to others. :frusty:

I'm also going too try ad aware and spybot.

How To post a HijackThis Log:

Download 'Hijack This!'. http://www.computercops.biz/downloads-file-328.html
Unzip (extract) it to a folder of its own , doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, then Ctrl-A to Select All, and copy its contents here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

PLEASE post logs in this forum only.
