A Way To Convert Bitmap To Jpg?

open the pic in ms paint!
then just say save as, and down at the bottom choose jpg!
simple...

MS Paint didn't always work for me. Irfan View (http://irfanview.com) is by far the greatest.

I tend to use photoshop for this .. just opening within the software, file>save for web .. usually png 24, otherwise jpeg and ya done. Great at optimizing too .. as if Fireworks.

ACDSee 2.43 is quick and painless - just choose 'Convert' from the Tools menu, or right-click and select 'Convert'. Even does multiple files in one shot.
