Can I make my pc speak something when logging on/off instead of the standard xp log-on/log-off chime?

I'm getting off topic on my own thread but this (http://www.research.att.com/projects/tts/demo.html) is pretty cool. Something I stumbled across looking for my answer.

(I think you'll be rather surprised at it's vast vocabulary, but I'll leave that to you)

It's very simple. I forget the exact location in the control panel but I think you go to control panel under sounds. All thoose sounds you hear are just .wav files. One sound you hear can be swapped or completely changed to something else. Find some hi-fi clip or record a voice you want from your sound card. If you have a movie or something and in a part they say....................."Initiating Startup Sequence" just record that from your sound card and convert it to .wav format and replace the xp logon wav file with that.

Oh, I got it! :o

Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>click on the sound that you want to change>click browse and find the audio clip that you want to use or have saved already. :)

I have a feeling that soundboards can be a good place to search for these audio clips. Funny ones at least.

Do a search for a word on THIS (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Samsamsamsam&b=1) site then click if you see a http://media.urbandictionary.com/sound.gif symbol. Only covers netspeak but is pretty cool.

Gemby!

I thought I could get some good voices from soundboards but most are flash. Where else could I get some good voices?
