Hi all,

I am trying to find a mate in Australia that uses KazaA. I have his user number etc. Can i do a search for a certain user. so i can share some of his files???

He has a certain file that is of interest only to us 2, so instead of posting a CD to Europe i wondered if i could download straight from him?

On another piont do you think that this kinda defeats the whole point of KazaA?? ;) I mean this is really not sharing and does add to the network?? Thoughts?????

Thanks in advance

OK, you should be able to do it if you connect to the same supernode that he is connected to.

To do this, you can use KaZuperNodes. All you need to know is his IP address. Then you can use KaZuperNodes to find out the supernode he is connected to, and connect to the same one, then his files should come up when you search..

However there are alternative ways, you could get him to set up an FTP server on his PC for example, which you could connect to and then download the goods from him, or even get him to email them to you.

Cheers, sounds like setting up a ftp server on his and mine system is the easier way??

Thanks for the advice
