To view old messages

Click the "From the" scroll down and select 75 days. This will pull up al the old posts in any folder.

To do this for all the forums in one go:

User CP > Edit Options > Thread Display Options :)

And if you don't want to be subscribed to every topic you reply to:

User CP > Edit Options > Messaging & Notification
