Well the original idea was another "America comes first" thing benefitting US companies, however i suspect there was an "underestimation" of the backlash and the fact that a reversal is starting only goes to show that the USA does indeed need the rest of the world more than the world need them.
We need to go further and rid ourselves of some other trade "bias" but it's a good start and i praise this administration for that.
