You may need to turn off 'system restore' before you delete it

i think the remnants of the spyware is still somwhere inside ur comp, possibly within system restore.
use Giant AntiSpyware (http://www.giantcompany.com/) to scan ur comp, u might have better results.

u need to clear out all the downloaded program files: tools > internet options > settings button > view objects. Delete anything suspicious in there (or all of them...you can always dl them again). Delete all temp internet files too.

Also, you should check your hosts file and make sure there are no added ips in there.
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts <---location..open in notepad.

I'd try vx2finder and cwshredder. Also, get regcleaner to remove items from startup.

If u installed msn messanger plus...unistall it and then when you reinstall it make sure you check the box that says you dont want a sponsor.
It sounds like you have mysearch on ur comp...
you can also goto the home page of the search engine and there is a prog to dl that will unistall it...you have lop toolbar.
If none of that works, I have the unistaller for it...somehow I can try to transfeer it to you if u want.

You have a hijacker called "SearchForIt", a searchbar/homepage hijacker.

Download hijackthis from http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe

Open hijackthis and press scan.
When the scan is completed, press the save log button.
Copy and paste the contents of the log here.
Don't fix anything yet, most of what's listed is normal.

go to "start, run" and type in "msconfig" (without quotes). Click the "startup" tab. You should see a list of files, with checkboxes next to them.

Uncheck the two files that are in the popup messages: replacesearch.dll SYSsfitb.dll

Run Pest Patrol.

pm me if you can't get it :)

It completely blows any other spyware/Reg key hijack progs out the window :)

Forget Ad Adware, Spybot, Spy Blaster, HTJ etc etc, they suck by comparison :)
