This computer is going to replace a 533MHz celeron that my sister uses but after looking at everything i deceided to go with this. I may just use this computer and give her mine.

So what does everyone think? Am I missing anything (ignore software :))? Should i not buy the cheapest thing i can find or should I expect this to fail in a year or two and just buy new better cheap parts.

notes:
I looked through all the rebates and they don't seem to bad, I just need to send everything in within 90 days.
Shipping is expensive because I live in hawaii
I have a spare video card
I could care less about cooling, noise and the look of the case

Well if you could care less about those things then I guess its fine. The motherboard is not very good though...If you dont want a lot of features...and you just want to plug everything in and go, it looks pretty good.

if its for your sister, i suggest a celeron D....she probably wont ever use anything that take advantage of that p4 3.0 you're buying. btw, what about vid card? i notice that mobo didnt have intergrated video

I think this computer will be for me now. Ill give my sister mine.

@bigdawgfoxx: what other features could i get? I'm not gonna overclock it.

@Mr. Elmo: I have a spare video card that I can use for now. Later, I think ill get the latest video card right before i buy half-life 2.

just wanted to add...have you checked www.newegg.com also? they got good prices, sometimes better than tiger direct.
agreed that the mobo aint to good, but do-able i suppose (im an ASUS man)
memory - just fine
processor - It's the same one i have. Works nice
HDD - You better make sure the mobo has built in SATA controller (which im sure it dont) in which case, youll need an SATA controller also (priced from 40 bucks on up)

a note. Tigerdirect sucks at rebates. Most people who send in rebates to tigerdirect usually never get their money back. I wouldn't rely on that rebate if i were you
