Ok heres what happened, my friend accidentilly reformat his hd when updating its operating system. Is there a free file recovery program out there...

all i seen were paying programs to recover files if it was reformated.

but..

tell your friend to leve his computer off...or if he absolutely has to use it then dont isntall any programs, and not too much web surfing or anything like that.
