I can´t put my Banner!

I´ve been trying to put one of those banners that you can put below your message, like some of you have.
But so far, I can´t,
is there something I need to instal so I can do that?.

user cp>edit signature>put text tere.

or if you want an image there then put:

[img ]http://website.com/image.filetype[ /img](without spaces)
just like you would do in a post.
