Ya thats right, my computer was acting funny so i clicked up task manager.

I dont know how this happened, i havnt downloaded anything that would be a threat (stuff off fileplanet). Anyway i guess i wana know is this a virus? and if so how bad is it? and how do i remove it?

yes it's a trojan or virus.
do the regular scans and all that to remove it, then look on symantec's website for full removal instructions.

Symantec's website dosnt show this. NOD32 says it has removed it though, but how can i be sure. Its also removed a bunch of other trojans. Can i trust that nod32 has removed this completely?

make sure there are no entries of it in msconfig, then run a search and make sure that file isn't avywhere on your computer (if it is delete it), then restart and amke sure it's still gone.

First off turn off system restore if its on , then run Nod32 again to be sure , reboot , u then might like to try trendmicro online scan just to be sure

Well than ks for the help, but after i restarted my hole computer went to shit. I was getting shortcut errors on .exe files. i wouldnt even open up firefox t ask for help. I had to format. Everything seems fine now. Suggestions on hopw to prevent shit like this from happening again would be nice :D

ok, seriously...
you DO have an updated AV scanner right?
scan ALL downloads before opening them
(with an anti trojan as well)
since i had problems finding the umm....full.....versions of TDS or trojan hunter...
i found that ewido security suite is nice,
as well as a-squared free

yeah, TDS is excellent if you can get the full version
if not, try trojan hunter....
if that doesnt work out, as i said,
ewido is proving to be a decent app as well
i tested it on some crack site dl's :D
