DVD Shrink: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm

Quick and Easy to learn, works great! Ripped 30 Dvds with it so far.

Tip: When you compress a movie to fit it on a dvd, anything 75% or higher should look exactly like the original when you use "Deep Analysis" and "Sharp (default)" enhancements that help compress the size without losing quality"

I even copied movies like iRobot (slick effects and such) at 80% of original compression and it looks just like the original.

You can also remove additional languages and other useless features to increase the quality.

Yes, that's a tip you actually want to try first..then compress if necessary.

If you don't already, you may use DaemonTools to run the DVD Images on a Virtual DVD Drive. They will play literally flawless on DVD software this way. (Unless your hardrive is fragmented..defrag that sucker once in awhile)
