View Full Version : ISO Opening Software?

For the past while, I've been using WinISO (http://www.winiso.com/) to open ISOs & BINs directly without mounting or burning (though obviously I do them as well ;)). It's worked for a while, but it looks like it'll crash for ISOs at the size of DVDs :(

Anyone know any other software that does the same job as WinISO, except for DVDs as well as CD-ROMs?

Winrar will allow you to examine the contents of an .iso file and extract them for use. But not a .bin file I do not believe.

I had the same problem until someone recommended UltraISO (http://www.ezbsystems.com/ultraiso/).

The best there is.

I don't understand why you don't want to jsut mount them.

Reading them fluently has its advantages - One being no need to piss about with mounting, another being don't need to dismount something important to mount it for seconds :)

I only usually mount with Alcohol when it's easiest to for a program - e.g. Games ;)

@Samurai - IsoBuster works great for me :D though I will try UltraIso. Doing a WinXP upgrade reinstall anyway so no problem having two different ISO readers now :)

WinISO has been discontinued and is now known under the name of UltraISO. Basically UltraISO is WinISO just with DVD support.

well it looks as if i was the only person who ACTUALLY read his question and solved it straight away..

Yep, but Samurai also deserves credit for suggesting UltraISO and Peerzy for stating what happened with WinISO :)

For all three of ya: :D

I have always used ISO Buster, I am starting to use Ultra Iso, but that requires a crack. Iso Buster is freeware and works great. Ultra Iso allows you to make ISO Files.
