OK, I just bought the Logitech USB Headset 350 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=103,CONTENTID=10013) and it sucks!

I dropped $50 on this peice of shit. FFS..the sound isn't anywhere near as good as the $6 earpeices I had (http://comparestoreprices.co.uk/images/4-/4-gamers-gbasp-earphones.jpg).

I've only played 2 maps in Call of Duty and I can hardly wear them they are hurting my ears so bad. "Plush ear-pads for hours of enjoyment" my ass! I'm so pissed right now! :fist:

Can anyone recommend some that they enjoy that are comfortable, have good sound, and at a decent price???

it looks like it goes round your head and has the word "phone" in it's name. i'd hazard a guess that it is.

can't you get little microphones that clip to one ear? maybe one of them would be better for you.

Skizo - I got myself a set of Medusa 5.1 Surround Headset for a pretty price in the UK and highly recommend them.

It comes with an amp where you plug in your speakers to, and another set of wires leads from the amp to the PC. Finally a mic is connected to the amp-PC and is amazingly good quality.

Homepage & Ordering (http://www.medusa-usa.com/)

Do search as I'm sure they can be found much cheaper than what these guys are offering. I myself paid £40 for them so you're looking at ~$90 give or take, but we all know the UK likes to charge "Amazing!!!One!!!" prices :D

Good luck in any case ;)

@Samurai - I checked around for that headset this morning and found that it isn't carried by many people. Not TigerDirect or Newegg or any of the "usual suspects". I did however find it on eBay (of course  ), but it was the companies aution. They were going for around $95 - $125 depending on the connection. Bit pricey for me, but I'll keep an eye out for a better deal on them. Thanks. :)

I use a Labtec Axis-502 Headset...I got it at Walmart for about $18 because it has a Volume Control on the Cable...it's about $15 without it.

Ok. So I do my research and finally decide on a headset that has tremendous reviews (which must be fake and written by Newegg or the manufacturer b/c my review is just the opposite).

The headset (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16826160101) arrived Friday and it's shit. Only this time it's a $75 + shipping piece of shit. The surround sound does work quite well to my surprise, but they are uncomfortable and are hurting my ears beyond belief within 30 minutes. They are top-heavy so they feel awkward on my head, and I feel as though I'm sort of keeping them 'balanced' up there so I'm not constantly distracted by them. The vibration fuction doesn't work either or is so minimal that I can't even feel it. I'll just assume that it's broken. It comes with a seperate sound card that only works if you disable your other one in BIOS. Now I am required to hear anything I want to listen to on these feckin things or constantly restart my PC and change the BIOS settings back and forth. The sound? I'd give it a 7 0f 10.

What a fuckin joke!
