I think it should be invite only then idiots wont create like 50 usernames and all the good names will be gone. It should stay how it is.

they can already make 50 usernames, using the 50 invites that each email gets.

And then 50 more with each of those invites .. and then ... .

Well thought out poll :Pya.

the only people the invites stop from getting a gmail account are people like my dad, sister or mom who don't have the connections to get an invite (other than me :P)

but it creates the process harder. Also do u want to use long ass numbers just to get a username you want.

If it goes public at LEAST 50% more people will come. It means less space for everyone to increase.

Everyone likes to get invites to private trackers, whether or not they're a newbie. The first thing I do when a new tracker open up is try to procure an invite by pming a mate, just to check it out. Nothing wrong in that.

If marekbielak2 thought that GMail was a private tracker then it's no reason to express disgust.

Anyone can get a GMail account. There's a site that takes unwanted GMail invites and hands them out like candy because there are so many of them.

Gmail should stay private due to the fact, if its public, as stated before, it will become something like AOL Isntant Messager, with all the kids trying to "hack" and steal names, making them think they are cool.
