Does anything need to be done to a Gamecube before it can play imported games? Or will they play straight out of the box?

I like the look of this alien hominid (http://www.alienhominid.com/) which doesn't seem to be out on the Gamecube in the UK, If I were to order a copy from the US, would it work?

I don't think they will...you might need a modchip.

they wont work no

but you can get whats called a 'freeloader'. you then load that as if its a game and then you put in aline hominid and it will work perfevtly

from meory its about £20 for the freeloader, and by the way the game is excellent - really good game - reminds me a lot of viewtiful joe - that same kind of orioginal feeling

well worth it

Thanks a lot, are these freeloaders safe? there's no side effects?

no theres no side affects at all. ive been using one for years and its perfect.

in all truth it doesnt seem to do an awful lot except disable the copy protection on the game while it loads and then thats it

obviously you dont use it to play uk games so its probably safer and more realible than a mod chip

there also legal and you can buy them in GAME i think, and HMV

hope that helps
