realism is all good and stuff.....but its sometimes no fun, you want realism? Operation Flashpoint and it's expansions, get em, and you tell me what's more realistic/hard as hell. yes AA was developed by the american army, but the same guys that made Operation Flashpoint developed the entire VBS (Virtual Battlefield Simulation) program FOR the US Military, not just the army, but for the navy, air force, marines, rangers, and specials ops. When Operation Flashpoint 2 comes out, it's gonna blow AA out of the water, realism and graphics wise of course. Gameplay on the other hand is still way too hard due to the realism although there are some really cool/fun times on multiplayer.

yeah i know what ya saying there i got the first opflashp, the only thing that i believe that game has over americas army is the single player campign and the map editor,
but its very old now days, number 2 will give AA a run for its "money", but "AA is free" and constantly getting updated, but i do agree with you there.

Dude what are you talking about BF2's graphics are amaizing.

Its not realistic at all, but in time mods will fix that. How many total conversions are there for AA?

I have been playing AA for over 2 years so I got mad love for it, bf2 is alright but im not spenind money on a game... when i play a better FPS
BF2 will NEVER beat americas army realism even with a "total modification"
and americas army is Close combat and Open landscapes, it is more diverse.
Both have good graphics, aa has Better ragdoll effects, graphics on both are amazing i can agree there..

anyway check me pwning these nubs. (its his first time) arewell better fragrate for me!

Rgr before you can acutally get out in the field you need to complete Basic Soldier Training, if you want to be a Speical OP you need to complete special op training etc, medic traning ....

If ya like it man post some feedback here, and enlighten some of these bf2 players/

Yup, good point there though, it is free and updates are very frequent (AA). OFP2 however will kick a lot of ass in terms of realism, including graphics, sound, etc. I'll gladly pay my 60 bucks when OFP2 comes out, till then I guess I have AA and BF2 to play around with. You should give OFP: Resistance a try, it's a damn fun game considering it's guerilla warfare, you gotta salvage and conserve anything you can if you wanna survive the entire campaign.

Yeah it's still there, but it is good in a way, because it is such a hard game noobs can get some help

but you can find most of the asnwers to the incalss tests, on the net, just look for them.

( the hardest training is the Special Forces tranining E&E it takes 30-45min to complete, but only a few maps need this )
