Re: NaQ's Complete Setup Guide for Linux Seedboxes (Fedora Core/CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu)
I don't think you installed two vncservers.
But I have no knowledge at all with xrealvnc, so I can't really help you.
Re: NaQ's Complete Setup Guide for Linux Seedboxes (Fedora Core/CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu)
Really helpful and well-made guide. This is bookmarked for a beginner like myself :) Thanks!
Re: NaQ's Complete Setup Guide for Linux Seedboxes (Fedora Core/CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu)
I am a little new with linux, so does anyone know what to do when you run utorrent w/ wine and then it freezes?? Not sure if I need to uninstall and install wine again or if there is something else I can do? Hope someone can help.

Thanks,
Could you also tell us how to limit upload and downlaod speed per user?
Re: NaQ's Complete Setup Guide for Linux Seedboxes (Fedora Core/CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu)
I have a problem with VNC.
Everything was running fine but VNC appears to have crashed and refuses to be killed or restart.
$ vncserver -kill :1 gives me
Can't find file 'MYSERVER'.com:1.pid
You'll have to kill the Xvnc process manually
If I try to start the vnc i get:
Warning: MYSERVER.com:1 is taken because of /tmp/.X1-lock
Remove this file if there is no X server MYSERVER.com:1
A VNC server is already running as :1
ps aux | grep vncserver shows
user 12650 0.0 0.0 6352 776 pts/5 D+ 17:29 0:00 grep --color=auto vncserver
:~$ kill -9 12650
-sh: kill: (12650) - No such process
:~$
Any ideas how I can restart the vnc?
Thanks

Re: NaQ's Complete Setup Guide for Linux Seedboxes (Fedora Core/CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu)
This guide is very detailed, great job!
Are there any scripts or macros that will automate the majority of this process? I have very little experience with Linux, and am certain I will mess the installtion up without any idea what I did wrong.
Someone must have written some sort of template or automated script to get the job done? Anyone?

Ok, have followed the instructions + googled when errors have come up.
Reached the point of logging into VNC, Xterm does appear in the Fluxbox menu, but clicking on it and nothing happens.
I saw another poster earlier in this thread with the same problem. Any ideas?

what os you are on? maybe installing it separately can solve the problem...
for ubuntu/debian: apt-get install xterm
fedora/centos: yum install xterm
make sure you are using your (#)root account...
