Well I just installed the one from Majorgeeks and it shows as version 2.0. :)
It's not due out till tomorrow, but it's on their servers already, so you can get it now.
I only reinstalled the old one the other day, so I'm gonna wait a few months before I upgrade :snooty:
Yep, grabbed the MajorGeeks one too, and it seems to be working just fine. States during installation that it's 2.0
Warning though, most all the extensions have not been updated to version 2.0 as of yet. So some of them your extensions may be disabled.
all of my extensions have worked since rc2 and most since rc1. just recently at the end of rc2 and all of rc3 my skins started to appear and now everything works just fine. my extensions pretty much are all security extensions with the exception of forecast fox.
The imageshack extension doesn't work, and they're no longer updating it. Arse. There's some sort of imageshack toolbar instead
The final will be officialy released tomorrow 12am CET but they've already released the final version on their ftp ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or.../releases/2.0/
atm the ftp is overloaded, but i suppose the version at majorgeeks is the same
according to the firefox team they havn't released it yet.

I downloaded 2.0 from both Majorgeeks and ftp.mozilla.org and the files aren't exactly the same.
filesizes differ by a few KBs and the digital signature differs by 1 second.
It says in the article its not uncommon for bits to be added and removed at the last minute. These builds may not actually be the official 2.0 release that is out in a few hours.Quote:
Linking directly to builds hinders our ability to remove/retract bits that we may have to remove for some reason
you might get differences in file sizes as there are various builds for different langauges. i know the one posted to slashdot that has been removed now was the en-gb version rather than the en-us version thats probably on majorgeeks.
i installed 2.0 last night on my mac and it has been working just fine, no disruptions, or clashes with any add-ons, i don't use many though, and at last i finally got java and quicktime working properly so i'm completely happy with the build i got :D
when is this going to be released? 12:00 central time?
/me twiddles her thumbs
2.0 was just officially released by Firefox on there website

Both files that we originally had were the final.
The one from Mojorgeeks was the US English release.
The ftp link was GB English release.
Now you can get them directly from mozilla.com
US English version: http://www.mozilla.com/products/down...win&lang=en-US
GB English version: http://www.mozilla.com/products/down...win&lang=en-GB

Ah crap I did n't see this thread I posted in News . I just installed it seems quite fast , all my extensions work but Faster Fox . First thing you 'll do is change the theme its brutal , I just installed right over 1.05 no problem there.
Started up this morning and all the extensions that were disabled had been updated and ready to install. God I love Mozilla.
Final 2.0 is out from 24 of October
