Welcome to the "rebranding" of my client. T-0.0.1 looks similar to S-5.8.11, but is actually pre-S6 and has some very important changes to the engine. You'll soon see a single downloader that handles multiple torrents over a single server port.
Other changes include: A new upload bandwidth limiter that is much smoother and less damaging to your connection, and support for the new features included in the official version 3.4.1a
so wot do u peeps think of this
any good?
B)
anyone used this yet?
is it ok?
oo its schweet i started a torrent and it went to 200 kb/s in like 20 seconds and it kep goin very stable :P
schweeeeet
i havent gotten the new shadow client but the old one i use works real good.
Im trying this, seems no different to Shadows previous.......
i have noticed a slight increase in speeds, so what the hell. i have a link to shadows new page on my site
at first it was kinda slow , but now for some reason i get almost twice the speeds i got with the older version , so id say you upgrade.
does the speed depend on the peers or the seeds???
I don't like the one download at a time thing :(
I tried it, its fast but then I was downloading a small file with >500 peers and >250 seeds. :D
Most of the new updates from bittorrent clients these days calculate to be nothing much more than a numbers game.
And the developers know this, thats why they do it so often to keep us the interest.
All you guys are so interested and impressed by
"Look at me my version is newer than yours, that makes it better"
When in reality you become nothing but beta testers on a global scale ,while you gain nothing important but new links for you to donate monies to the developers.
Nothing wrong with donating in my books ,in fact I have for Azureus ..and you should too.
Im Just saying you should think twice before jumping ship to a new release ,
you will not obtain additional speed by doing so
Speed can only be obtained through good old fasion seeding :).
ur right nahan. but for some reason it feel so good to have the latest one.
I use to have bittorrent 3.3 but after i saw this topic i got Bittorrent T-0.0.1 (Bittornado)
all you guys say it is fast but what i am getting max of 6Kb now it is 0kb
i am getting this film
Scary Movie 3 DVDSCR XViD-HeAT [bt-g... 704 Mb (S 114)(DL 379) DVD-Scr #bt-gm -
where it says in Bittorrent T-0.0.1 now
connected to 17 peers with an average of 42.2% completed (total speed 581
connected to 12 seeds,also 1999 distributed copies
whats the problem?
same speed. not much different. i was dling splinter cell at 200kb/s, which is very rare
I am able to run my uploads a little faster on BitTornado than Shadow's older BT.
The bandwidth graph (NetStat Live) shows a much smoother upload bandwidth useage too.
For that reason alone, it is better than the original and means I can push uploads a little faster without such huge losses in download speeds.
Hows this compare to my trusted ABC client?
Well, i don't like it, it keeps f*cking up every 30 minutes or so... Anyone know where I can get the previous version?
Thats all thats needed to be said for now .. ill stick with my abc B) , lol
see each bittorent program has problems.
ABC: sometimes slow
Azureus: eats alot of cpu and ram
Bitornado: very slow
im pretty sure ppl agree with me on this???
not really. it's fast on good torrents. my speeds didn't change on large torrents like dvd of far cry. i got 30-50kb/s on both clients. and i just dled a movie at 150kb/s using bittornado. so i'd stop talking shit bout itQuote:

I use storm.com/]TorrentStorm . I lust switched fron shadows because of the 1 box used and just finished downloading and uploading over 1400 mb in less than 1 day from 1 seed and 21 peers.
Alot faster than e mule, klite, ect...
im not trying to talk bad about the bittorando cuz i have it but sometimes it gets on my nerves when it goes from 70 kb to 1kb in a second and ppl are uploading off of me with a speed of 100 kb
that's weird. what did u do? or did it do that automaticallyQuote:

You can download more than 1 thing at a time but with this client . but only 1 window for a download. 2 windows for 2 download ect.
I just use ABC good enough for me
