Did you do everything in the NFO? On CD 5, there is an EXE you have to run...

He's talking about Half Life Source. The remake of the first game in the new Source engine.
I bought a legit copy of half Life 2 then downloaded half Life source but it wont run. And yes peerzy is correct it is the remake do i need the orignal half life to run this source ???
Anyone any ideas should i just but orignal since i cant but half life 1 source

Ok i looked about on the net and i read about things that the soruce aint really that much difference from orignal so should i just buy the Half Life Generations 3 or just Half life on its own. Also how do i remove the vengence version half life source from my pc ???
Plz someone must know how to unistall Half Life: Source that vengence did becuase steam does not show it on my game list so how do i unistall it.
If i was you i owuld buy Half Life Generations. It contains 1 great game and 2 of the best expansion packs ever made. Also it's only like £9.99.
To uninstall just delete all the files in the folder it's made, or if you don't really need to extra space leave it there its only 400mb, and will save any isssues if you delete the wrong file.

There are weird files inside of the Program files you are supposed to click in order to run the game, but too late now. Thats how I ran vengeance HL source.Quote:

go to ur hl2.exe and at the end of the dir type -game hl1

then i just typed -game hl1 on my shortcut and it werked....

No, not hl2.exe. I am talking about something different. There are these weird files that look like a DOS window EXE or something, with a yellow gear on it. This is what I had, and I double clicked this, and it would launch the game.

What I downloaded was HL2 Collector's Edition, Vengeance. IT had everything, each game had a BATCH file that you could double click on, and it launched the game.Quote:
