Reformat and OS Reinstall, second HD not detected.
Hey, well, I just formatted my system.
I have 2 drives. A 200GB that's partitioned into a 50GB C: and a 150GB E:
C: is OS and Program Files, E: is business software.
The partition is still there and XP is installed as well as motherboard (Asus K8NE Deulux) drivers and video/sound card drivers.
But:
My second drive, a 160GB just for media (music, movies ,TV series) that I believe is connected by S-ATA isn't showing up in Explorer...Under System/Hardware Manager it says that a Raid Controller driver hasn't been installed. Could this be the reason why it's not being detected?
About 62GB of music is on there and I never formatted it before I re-installed XP. I just nuked the C: and E: drives.

Missing drivers. Use the CD provided with the mobo.
Re: Reformat and OS Reinstall, second HD not detected.
Have you installed the motherboard drivers completely?
Is it allright now?
Re: Reformat and OS Reinstall, second HD not detected.
You need the drivers for the SiI3112 chip.
There are 2 versions, RAID and NON-RAID.
Since you aren't running raid you should install the NON-RAID version:

unless you are running X64 in which case you want:
