Do you have any kind of direct audio input socket on your old hi-fi system?
Failing that, a microphone socket?
im nt sure i gt headphone socket on the frnt but its liek 3-4 yrs ols hi-fi on the back its gt a white and red hole ting ...

The headphone socket is no use, that's where sounds come out. You need a hole what puts the sounds in.. :dabs:
It's possible that your red and white holes on the back are inputs, do you have an input selector on the front that says, for example "AUX"? If so, then you're in business. ;)
EDIT: If you do have an AUX input on your hi-fi, you'll probably need something like this to connect it to your portable CD player... :unsure:
