For the last time no, there is no such thing as a stable PS2 (or any new console emulator for that matter) emulator

Some people claim to have toyed with plugins for days getting one of their ps2 games to actually boot, BUT! it was very limited. More like only 5% of the game was normal. It sucks, because there are many games such as Splinter Cell, Halo, etc that are both for PC and Consoles, but have problems when it comes to emulation. The graphical engines are very similar, but the coding is different when they publish it. More like software we just can't seem to crack yet.
some time after the next generation systems come out you should be able to emulate last gen games, this pattern will logically continue ad infinitum

yeah there is a DC emu, but i dont know where to get an easy workiing one..
